Find a walk
Find a walk USA shows some great hikes. Select one of the icons and see a photo and a very brief description of the walk. Double click on the red text to find more details and some photos from the walk.
The pictures and description should give you a good idea of whether you want to follow the walk. If you decide you want to follow the trail then it’s easy.
Go to the start of the route and open the web page on your mobile. Click on the full screen icon — – Next click on the geo location icon — . Now follow the route on your phone.
If you get a Geolocation Error
On an iPhone go to >Settings>Privacy>Location Services select the appropriate web browser and change from Never.
On an Android Swipe down from the top of the screen. Touch and hold Location . If you don’t find Location : Tap Edit or Settings . Then drag Location into your Quick Settings. Tap App permission. Under ”Allowed all the time,” “Allowed only while in use,” and “Ask every time,” find the apps that can use your phone’s location.
Ready to go
Now you are ready to go. As you walk along the blue dot will tell you exactly where you are. You can then see that you are on the path and you won’t get lost. You are just using your phone’s GPS tracking to guide you round the route.
There is no need for complicated description of the path. As you walk along you can see your position in relation to the route. It’s really that simple and you won’t get lost.

If you currently record your walking or hiking routes then please share them. The site is commercially free and is run for fun. Just register on the site and go to the uploads page where you can send your GPX file, photos and a brief description of the walk.
If you don’t want to do that you can always email your favourite walk and photos.
